It’s coming – NaNoWriMo is just around the corner. What are your thoughts? Are you going to do it? I have never tried, but I have a relative who did and she made it through and even had a publisher at the end of it. I have been hard pressed to find the motivation to write for the past two weeks. The ideas are there, swimming in my head and I write them just fine in there, but when I get to a computer – when I actually have to put thought to paper – I lose the motivation. Exhaustion? Maybe. Nerves? Definitely. Feelings of inadequacy? Check. Life is overwhelming and worrisome right now.
I digress. I have never tried nanowrimo. I have thoughts for it: it makes you take yourself and your work seriously; it helps others to perceive you as a writer; and it makes you more disciplined. But what if you miss a day? Does it seem insurmountable? Will you just give up because the graphs are not advancing? Will not making it through make me doubt my skills even more?
So many questions. Are you going to partake? Have you done it before? Did you like it or not?
